The construction industry is filled with high paying opportunity. New people and ideas are needed to bring this industry into the 21st century.  We need students to view this industry as one with great potential.  We need to show them a vision of the future,  several paths to get there, and the steps necessary to take in order to accomplish the goals.  The vision should be long term,  the paths well defined, and the steps and skills necessary to be clear and easily revisited.   The site design is based upon the future of construction.

A vision of the vast opportunities in the industry can be easily conveyed by showing them what types of work are available and establishing a system so they may easily pursue the trades of interest.  It also shows them the skills necessary to advance in the industry including math, plan and specification reading.  Understanding the need to learn the skills is important in motivating students to learn the skills.

The Metaphor for this site is that the student can travel not only the yellow brick road, but the red one, the green one or the brown one.  This system allows them to understand what each path looks like and what is necessary to reach the highest hill.
